Full Job Description

Western Pacific Express LLC has an opening for a professional fuel transport driver. Our drivers are responsible for safely and efficiently delivering petroleum products to regional terminals, refineries, and other locations. Transport drivers independently adhere to specified policies, procedures, and standards under the general supervision of local fleet management. Starting Hourly Rate:

$28.00 without experience

$35.00 with experience

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt/Full-time

Hourly rate: $32-$36 (DOE) and industry background
Insurance: Health/Dental/Vision coverage

Retirement: 401K

Minimum Qualifications

Active Class A Commercial Driver's License
Must maintain a satisfactory driving record and provide consent to the company for driving record review.
Must be willing to submit to random Drug & Alcohol tests and provide consent to the company to review records.
Must be able to drive interstate.
License – Restrictions
Operate manual and/or automatic transmission
Active CDL Endorsements:
Hazardous Materials

Shift Requirements

Must be able to work up to a 12-hour AM/PM shift.
Must be able to work weekends/holidays

Job Responsibilities

Perform a pre-trip inspection on the equipment according to Western Pacific Express' policy and DOT regulations. Check the tank truck or trailer, as well as the tractor or trailer, for general operating requirements. Ensure that all required equipment is available and in good operating condition. Note any inspections and deficiencies on the pre-trip inspection form.
Drive a tank truck or trailer, or a tractor and trailer, to transport products safely, efficiently, and professionally. Obey all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Follow site-specific standard operating procedures for loading and offloading.
Conduct post-trip inspections on equipment in accordance with Western Pacific Express, LLC's policy and DOT regulations. Complete all regulatory and customary paperwork. Ensure equipment is ready for the next shift.
Report all incidents, including safety and environmental concerns, according to OSHA timelines and company policy.
Report all equipment issues as soon as they occur.
Follow, maintain, and adhere to all safety rules and operating procedures, including those outlined in DOT regulations.

Physical Requirements Include

Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
Must be able to work on elevated spaces: 30+ feet on graded elevation.
Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull 50-65 lbs.
Must be able to sit for extended periods.
Must be able to grip a steering wheel for extended periods.

Screening Requirements

Must maintain a satisfactory driving record and provide consent to the company for driving record review.
Must pass required drug and alcohol screenings.
Must complete or have a DOT physical and maintain a current medical card.
Must pass a three-year DOT safety background check and a seven-year criminal background check.
Must pass the pre-trip and road tests to demonstrate proficiency in operating required equipment.
