Home Care HR Specialist

The Home Care HR Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our private pay home care agency by managing full-cycle recruiting, employee onboarding, HR administration, and regulatory compliance. This position is responsible for attracting and hiring exceptional caregivers and office staff while ensuring all employees meet state, federal, and company requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, people-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating an outstanding employee experience from recruitment through ongoing employment. Monday through Friday, 8a-5p. Competitive salary based upon experience, ranging from $55K - $75K. PTO and room for growth!

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Functions:

Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for caregivers and office personnel. Our territory covers Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and surrounding areas.
Create and manage job postings across multiple platforms and online job boards.
Source qualified candidates through various recruiting methods and community partnerships.
Screen/interview/qualify candidates through phone, virtual, and in-person interviews.
Evaluate candidates for qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and assist with hiring decisions.
Complete reference checks and employment verifications.
Extend employment offers and maintain communication throughout the hiring process.
Track recruiting metrics and recommend strategies to improve hiring results.

Human Resources & Compliance Functions:

Coordinate all onboarding activities for new employees.
Ensure all personnel files are complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies and state regulations.
Verify licenses, certifications, work eligibility, background checks, driver's licenses, automobile insurance, health screenings, and any other required employment documentation.
Maintain employee records and ensure timely renewal of required credentials.
Assist with HR compliance, audits, and accreditation requirements.
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.

Employee Relations & Engagement Functions:

Conduct new hire orientation and help ensure employees have a positive onboarding experience.
Support employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
Assist HR Director with employee coaching, documentation, corrective actions, and performance concerns.
Respond to employee questions regarding company policies and HR procedures.
Help foster a positive workplace culture focused on retention and employee satisfaction.

Office Administration Functions:

Maintain HR and office files and assist with administrative projects.
Order office supplies, caregiver materials, name badges, and other necessary resources.
Collaborate with Scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing for client needs.
Serve as a liaison between employees, leadership, and clients.
Prepare reports related to recruiting, staffing, turnover, and HR metrics.

Candidate Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of two years of Human Resources, Recruiting, or Talent Acquisition experience.
Home care, healthcare, senior care, or staffing experience required.
Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices in the state of NV.
