Full Job Description

STE Hackney, Inc., is a $145 million manufacturer of specialized aluminum drop-frame truck bodies and trailers, as well as refrigerated truck bodies and trailers. Headquartered in Washington, NC, the company operates four manufacturing facilities in the continental United States and is owned by Vision Technologies Land Systems, a subsidiary of ST Engineering, Inc.

POSITION TITLE: Kidron District Sales Manager (Direct Sales Responsibility)

Reports to: Director of Sales

Region: Baltimore/Washington corridor.

Territory: VA, MD, DC

Expand your professional portfolio as a Kidron – District Sales Manager with our growing clients in the Baltimore/Washington corridor. As the District Sales Manager, you will have direct sales responsibility within your region. You will be responsible for new business growth, sales quota, and developing a loyal customer base through direct and channel selling to achieve sales forecast targets. The ideal candidate should have a hunter’s mentality and demonstrate strong prospecting, negotiating, and closing skills, working both independently and as part of a team. This is a field-based, home-office, outside sales position within your assigned region of responsibility with a preferred location near the corridor. You must live within your assigned sales territory.

Scope of Position / Responsibilities

Develop a strategic plan to grow sales and margin within an assigned region for all Kidron products.
Prospect new business by conducting research to identify key decision-makers and influencers within assigned sales territory.
Manage sales and opportunity pipeline including expected revenue, probability of a win, sales strategy, and identification of key decision-makers.
Educate prospects and customers on features, benefits, and value proposition of our products as it relates to the growth and sustainability of their business.
In-person and remote communication directly with executive-level decision-makers and influencers.
Work closely with engineering, customer service, and manufacturing to ensure the best customer experience possible.
Attend trade shows and conventions to represent the Kidron product line in a professional manner.
Ability to travel as needed within your assigned territory following corporate travel policies.
Ability to use sales tools, organize, accurately forecast territory results, provide market intelligence, implement value selling, and meet sales objections.
Overall ownership of all sales and account management efforts within the region.

Required Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education.
Minimum of five (5) years of outside sales experience with excellent prospecting, negotiating, and closing skills.
Proven track record in new business development with excellent listening, communication, and customer relationship skill sets.

Preferred Experience

Knowledge of heavy-duty truck equipment, full-service lease, or construction trade industry.

· Proven experience as a sales representative in the transportation industry is preferred.

· Experience in truck, liftgate, refrigeration, or lease sales is very beneficial.

Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving aptitude.
Advanced sales training certifications.
Salesforce CRM.

Work Schedule

Since sales calls take place during regular working hours, most sales planning and paperwork occur in the evenings and on weekends. Hours can be irregular with client dinners, outings, and entertainment. Representatives typically determine their own schedules.

Work Environment

Kidron District Sales Managers have large territories and are required to travel. Because a sales region may cover several states, representatives may be away from home for several days at a time. A car allowance is provided by the company, and mileage is reimbursed. Sales Managers have a home office; a laptop computer and phone are supplied by the company. This position has an unlimited commission pay structure.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
