We are looking for a dependable and motivated Construction Runner / Field Support Assistant to provide day-to-day support to our project managers, construction crews, and operations team.

The Construction Runner / Field Support Assistant plays an important role in keeping active restoration and construction projects running smoothly.
This position supports field teams by transporting materials and equipment, picking up supplies, assisting with job-site needs, completing deliveries and errands, and helping project managers and technicians stay focused on their primary responsibilities.
The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
Position Summary
The Construction Runner / Field Support Assistant provides logistical and operational support across Sevco Restoration’s active projects.
This is a hands-on position that requires frequent travel between job sites, vendors, warehouses, the office, and other locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing time-sensitive tasks accurately and efficiently while maintaining a professional attitude and representing Sevco Restoration positively in the field.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, solving problems, staying organized, and being the person the team can rely on to get things done.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesField & Project Support
● Provide day-to-day support to project managers, construction crews, technicians, and operations staff.
● Travel between job sites, the office, warehouses, vendors, and other locations as needed.
● Pick up and deliver materials, tools, equipment, supplies, documents, and other project-related items.
● Assist with preparing materials and supplies needed for upcoming jobs.
● Help ensure project teams have the materials and resources they need to keep work moving.
● Complete time-sensitive errands and field tasks as assigned.
● Communicate with project managers regarding completed tasks, deliveries, delays, or additional job-site needs.
Materials & Supply Runs
● Pick up construction and restoration materials from local suppliers and vendors.
● Verify that orders are complete and match the requested materials before leaving the vendor.
● Safely transport materials and equipment to the appropriate job site.
● Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment.
● Return unused materials, equipment, or supplies to the appropriate location when requested.
● Maintain organization of materials and supplies in company or assigned vehicles.
Job-Site Support
● Assist field teams with basic job-site preparation and cleanup.
● Deliver and organize materials at job sites.
● Assist with moving tools, equipment, and materials as directed.
● Take job-site photographs and provide basic updates when requested.
● Help maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
● Report any job-site issues, damaged materials, missing items, or safety concerns to the appropriate team member.
Vehicle & Equipment Responsibilities
● Safely operate a company vehicle or personal vehicle for approved work-related activities, as applicable.
● Maintain vehicles and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
● Complete basic vehicle or equipment checks as required.
● Report maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly.
● Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are properly secured during transportation.
Communication & Customer Interaction
● Communicate professionally with vendors, suppliers, homeowners, employees, and other individuals encountered during work assignments.
● Represent Sevco Restoration professionally when visiting customer properties and vendor locations.
● Provide clear and timely updates to project managers and supervisors.
● Maintain a helpful, respectful, and professional attitude when interacting with customers experiencing property loss.
Safety & Compliance
● Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
● Follow proper lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, and material-handling procedures.
● Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) when working on restoration or construction sites.
● Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately.
● Follow all applicable workplace and job-site safety requirements.

Required Qualifications
● High school diploma or equivalent preferred
● Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
● Reliable personal transportation
● Ability to travel between job sites, vendors, warehouses, and other work-related locations
● Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality
● Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
● Strong communication and organizational skills
● Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
● Ability to safely lift, carry, load, and unload materials and equipment
● Comfortable working in active construction and restoration environments
● Basic smartphone skills, including navigation, phone calls, text messaging, and taking photographs
● Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Previous experience in construction, restoration, delivery, warehouse, logistics, moving, or field services is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
● Previous experience in construction or restoration
● Experience working in a field-service, delivery, warehouse, or logistics environment
● Familiarity with construction or restoration materials

● Experience using GPS/navigation and mobile applications

Transportation & Mileage
This position requires reliable personal transportation because the role involves traveling between job sites, vendors, warehouses, and other work-related locations.
Employees are responsible for their own commute to and from work. Mileage incurred while traveling between job sites or for approved work-related activities during the workday will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
Compensation & Benefits
● $20.00 – $21.00 per hour depending on experience
