Job Overview

Join our dynamic construction team as a Concrete Apprentice and kick-start your career in the skilled trades! In this energetic role, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside seasoned professionals to learn the fundamentals of concrete work and related construction tasks. Your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to building durable, high-quality structures while developing essential skills in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. This paid apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your expertise in concrete and general construction practices, setting the foundation for a rewarding career.

Duties

Assist with concrete pouring, finishing, and cutting to ensure smooth and durable surfaces.
Support rebar installation, formwork construction, and concrete form setup according to blueprints and technical drawings.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on various construction sites.
Follow all workplace safety regulations and protocols to maintain a secure environment for yourself and team members.
Participate in heavy lifting, material handling, restoration projects, and renovation activities as directed by supervisors.

Experience

Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous.
Knowledge of blueprint reading, concrete forming, rebar installation, concrete pumping, and finishing techniques is highly valued.
Experience with carpentry—including trim carpentry, framing, metal stud framing—and masonry work will support your growth in this role.
Ability to operate heavy machinery / heavy equipment is a plus.
Basic understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols is required.
Willingness to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while maintaining attention to detail throughout all phases of construction projects.
