Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Terminal Manager to lead and optimize all operations within our distribution terminal. This pivotal role involves overseeing transportation, warehouse, and distribution activities to ensure seamless supply chain execution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in logistics management, process improvement, and team leadership, driving operational excellence while maintaining safety, efficiency, and profitability. Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end terminal operations including freight handling, shipping & receiving, inventory control, and distribution processes.
Lead and supervise warehouse staff, transportation teams, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure productivity and safety standards are met or exceeded.
Oversee transportation planning, fleet management, dispatching, and freight management to optimize delivery schedules and reduce costs.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean principles and process management techniques to enhance operational efficiency.
Monitor profit & loss statements, budgeting activities, and supply chain analytics to drive financial performance and identify areas for cost savings.
Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms like AS400, and supply chain software for effective operations management.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, shipping & receiving standards, and procurement procedures while maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy through inventory management systems.

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse supervision, distribution operations, or logistics management with a strong understanding of warehouse distribution systems.
Demonstrated ability to manage profit & loss statements, budgeting processes, and supply chain analytics effectively.
Extensive knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms (such as AS400), and inventory control tools.
Hands-on experience with process improvement methodologies including lean principles and continuous improvement strategies.
Strong leadership skills with prior supervising experience in warehouse or logistics teams; excellent managerial communication skills are essential.
Familiarity with freight operations, shipping & receiving procedures, procurement processes, fleet management, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts.
Ability to develop strategic plans for demand planning, production scheduling, procurement, and inventory management aligned with organizational goals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) along with logistics-specific software for data analysis and reporting.
