Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Richmond, VA
Pay Rate: $30.00/hr.
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Flexible schedule available; hours may be negotiated during the interview process)
Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary Contract (Approximately 3 Months)

Position Overview
Lingo Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Clerk to support one of our clients during their busy season. This is a temporary, three-month assignment within a fast-paced public affairs office. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, experience with QuickBooks, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
Enter invoices, payments, and financial data into QuickBooks.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Prepare and maintain financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist with payment processing and invoice management.
Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment and billing inquiries.
Maintain organized financial files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Support the finance department with additional administrative and accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications

2–3 years of recent Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable experience required.
Previous QuickBooks experience is required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

Fast-paced office environment with occasional periods of downtime.
Casual dress code.
No overtime required.
Flexible scheduling may be discussed during the interview process.

Hiring Process

Interview with the company's Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Background check required.
Drug screening required.
