Full Job Description

Position Description: Day Support Activity Assistant

The employee in this position is responsible for providing training/ assistance and support to program participants according to guidelines established by the agency. The Day Support Activity Assistant reports directly to the day support supervisor.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Consistently demonstrates a positive work ethic and commitment to the organization demonstrating leadership and team player qualities.
Ensures all necessary documentation is completed by for daily duties and tasks, according to Elkridge standards and EGC policies and procedures.
Demonstrates proper medical care for each participant including medication management, medical appointments, and proper documentation and upkeep of medical records according to the goals outlined in the ISP.
Thoroughly maintains and up keeps the center according to EGC policies and procedures and regulatory agencies.
Provides support to each participant by implementing their annual plan of support, goals, and objectives as outlined in their ISP.
The employee provides participants with supports to ensure safety while on outings in the community.

QUALIFICTIONS:

The employee must have a high school diploma or equivalent degree (GED).
At least one year of experience working individuals with disabilities or in the human services field (nursing, CNA, rehab services, hospital care).
The employee must also have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Experience in a high intensity day support setting is preferred.
Satisfactory completion of CPR and First Aid Training Class.
Satisfactory completion of Medication Management Certification.
Satisfactory completion of Home and Community Based Services Training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
