Associate Dentist – 1 Day/Week | Mechanicsville/Ashland, VA

Atlee Family and Cosmetic Dentistry – Mechanicsville/Ashland, VA

We're looking for a licensed Virginia general dentist to join us as an associate one day a week on an ongoing basis. We run a small, private, non-DSO practice focused on quality patient care — our case mix leans toward bigger, more rewarding procedures like Invisalign, crowns, and onlays.

Key details:

Schedule: 1 day per week (day flexible/negotiable) on an ongoing basis.
Start date: As soon as credentialing is complete — there's no fixed start date, so we can move quickly once you're credentialed.
Compensation: $750 - 800 daily guarantee for the first 6 months, or 30% of collections, whichever is greater. After 6 months, compensation is 30% of collections. We collect 99%+ of what we bill, so that production reliably turns into real take-home pay — and with our case mix skewing toward Invisalign and restorative work, average case values run well above a typical single-visit filling day.
Malpractice insurance: Covered by the practice.
Scope of care: You'll be seeing our patients of record, with handoff notes and treatment plans provided.
Possible future coverage: There may be an opportunity to temporarily expand to up to 4 days a week to help cover a future maternity leave (estimated Q3–Q4 2027, not yet confirmed), returning to 1 day a week afterward. This is entirely optional — we're glad to have you on for just the one regular day if that's your preference.

What we offer:

Mentorship in digital dentistry, including same-day CEREC crowns and 3D-printed onlays, retainers, and mouthguards.
Mentorship from a Platinum Invisalign Provider, including advanced Invisalign treatment planning through Molis Coaching, if you'd like to build Invisalign skills during your time with us.
Exposure to digital workflows (CBCT + intraoral scanning, CEREC same-day crowns, iTero scans, scanned implant restorations using encodes and scan bodies) for those interested in hands-on learning — entirely optional and not required for the role.
In-house 3D printing for onlays, mouthguards, retainers, and surgical guides, for anyone who wants exposure to in-office fabrication.
Guided implant surgery for those interested in placing implants using a digital workflow.
Private, non-DSO practice with a small, supportive team.

We're looking for a licensed, Virginia-credentialed general dentist who wants a steady one-day-a-week associate position and enjoys quality, comprehensive dentistry.
