Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Director of Compliance to lead our organization’s compliance initiatives across all operational areas. This pivotal role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive compliance programs that align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. As a key leader, you will foster a culture of integrity and accountability, ensuring that all departments adhere to applicable laws and regulations while supporting the organization’s mission to deliver exceptional services responsibly and ethically.

Duties

Develop, oversee, and continuously improve the organization’s compliance policies and procedures to meet evolving legal and regulatory standards.
Ensure adherence to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to protect patient privacy and data security.
Manage compliance with Medicare, FDA regulations, JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations), and other relevant industry standards.
Lead audits and assessments related to ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding, and other medical coding practices to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Provide guidance on HIPAA privacy rules, CPT coding procedures, ICD coding accuracy, and overall compliance management strategies.
Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and legal teams to address compliance gaps proactively; implement corrective actions as needed.
Monitor changes in healthcare laws and regulations; communicate updates effectively across the organization to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements

Proven experience in healthcare compliance management or a related field with a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations.
In-depth knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding systems, Medicare policies, FDA regulations, and JCAHO accreditation standards.
Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive compliance programs that mitigate risk while supporting organizational objectives.
Excellent leadership skills with the capacity to influence cross-functional teams and foster a culture of integrity.
Strong analytical skills for conducting audits, assessments, and risk evaluations related to healthcare compliance.
Exceptional communication skills for training staff on compliance protocols and regulatory updates.
Relevant certifications such as CHC (Certified Healthcare Compliance) or similar are highly desirable. Join us in shaping a compliant future where excellence meets integrity!
