Full Job Description

Join our vibrant, environmentally friendly salon team as a Part-Time Salon Assistant and Front Desk associate. Our salon is dedicated to the conservation and replenishment of the environment while upholding a high standard of creative excellence. In this role, you will support stylists by maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. A positive attitude and strong communication skills will ensure clients feel valued from the moment they walk through the door. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the beauty industry while developing your skills in customer service, retail sales, and salon operations. This position will become full time.

Duties

Greet clients warmly and assist with check-in at the front desk
Support stylists by washing out hair, resetting work stations, sweeping the floors, assisting with laundry and dishes
Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and common areas according to salon protocols
Help manage inventory levels and restock supplies to ensure smooth daily operations
Operate a point of sale system and booking software to ring out clients and schedule appointments appropriately
Provide client care by answering questions, serving beverages and ensuring a positive salon experience
Opening and closing the salon, evening hours and Saturdays

Experience

Prior experience or familiarity with salon software such as Vagaro is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Knowledge of haircare, color theory, and sanitation practices is advantageous
Experience in salons, retail sales or customer service roles will be ideal
Basic understanding of cosmetology is beneficial for supporting technical services
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Passion for the beauty industry with an eagerness to learn new skills
Excellent communication skills and a warm personality to foster a welcoming environment

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
