Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality ingredients and dishes that delight our guests. Your enthusiasm for food preparation, attention to safety standards, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will help ensure our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills while contributing to a vibrant dining experience.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and components of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients with precision using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools in compliance with food safety management standards
Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety standards are met during all stages of food production
Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients needed for daily specials or upcoming menus
Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely delivery of orders

Skills

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking techniques
Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
Strong understanding of safety standards in production, including proper use of kitchen equipment and safe food handling practices
Demonstrated ability to adhere strictly to recipes and portion sizes for consistent quality
Familiarity with cleaning protocols necessary for maintaining a hygienic work environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
