Full Job Description

Schrader Pacific is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Machinist (Star Machine) to join our dynamic team on 3rd Shift. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-production environment and have a passion for precision machining, we want to hear from you!

Training for this position will be on 1st Shift (7a-3p) for several weeks, prior to transferring to 3rd Shift.

Experience & Qualifications:

Preferred: CNC lathe metal turning experience, specifically with stainless and brass bar stock.
Required: High school diploma with metal machining experience OR a Machinist Certificate demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate in continuous improvement initiatives through team problem-solving.
Ensure high-quality production by adjusting machine tools as needed.
Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) to maintain and enhance process capability.
Conduct routine machine maintenance and service equipment, except in major breakdown cases.
Perform limited tool work, including operating grinders to sharpen tools.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and support overall shop cleanliness.
Accurately weigh, document, and identify finished work.
Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate various precision measuring instruments and gauges.
Must possess own tools necessary for daily machining tasks.
Ability to stand for up to 12 hours and lift up to 35 lbs., with assistance for heavier weights.
