Overview

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen department, setting clear goals and standards for quality, service, and safety
Oversee menu development, food preparation, and presentation to ensure consistency and culinary excellence
Manage inventory control, food handling procedures, and kitchen operations to optimize efficiency and minimize waste
Coordinate catering events and special functions, ensuring seamless execution from planning to service
Supervise staff scheduling, shift management, and training programs to foster a motivated and skilled team
Enforce food safety regulations and maintain compliance with health codes across all operations
Collaborate with other departments such as hospitality, bartending, and dietary services to deliver a cohesive guest experience
Monitor financial performance through inventory management and cost control measures while maintaining high-quality standards

Skills

Extensive banquet experience with a strong background in large-scale event coordination
Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced food service environment
Deep knowledge of dietary department operations and food safety protocols
Expertise in food production, culinary techniques, and menu planning for fine dining settings
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff effectively
Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and drive continuous improvement
Experience in inventory management, kitchen management, and food handling procedures
