Full Job Description

Do you enjoy creating neat and tidy spaces? The Springhill Suites by Marriott is hiring!

The Room Attendant will ensure that the highest standards for cleanliness and sanitation are maintained within each of their assigned guest rooms. Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Executive Housekeeper, is responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned rooms/suites.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Check housekeeping cart for supplies, stock as needed.
Greet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement.
Strip dirty linens/towels and remove amenities from room/suite.
Clean rooms/suites, as assigned, which includes: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming and washing windows/tracks. Report rooms as clean and available.
Reports maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain room in compliance with hotel standards.
Replenish linen and guest amenities.
Clean balconies, if applicable.
Respond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service).
Requires ability to follow verbal directions.
Requires thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures as well as cleaning supplies.
Always represent the hotel in a positive manner; SMILE.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:

This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving. You will also lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and must be able to stand and walk for an entire shift and lift 20-30 lbs. intermittently during the workday.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background screening
Previous cleaning experience a plus
Must be authorized to work in the US
