Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning, Unloading, Forklift, and Sanitation Janitor to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment across our facility. Your duties will include performing thorough cleaning routines, operating forklifts for unloading and moving materials, ensuring proper sanitation standards are met, and supporting overall custodial and maintenance tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-organized workspace while utilizing your cleaning expertise and forklift skills to keep operations running smoothly. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will help foster a productive and hygienic environment for all team members.

Duties

Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting all areas of the facility to uphold high sanitation standards
Operate forklifts safely to unload incoming shipments, move pallets, and organize inventory efficiently
Handle chemical agents with care, following safety protocols for cleaning solutions and sanitation products
Conduct routine sanitation of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment
Support facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, floor buffing, and applying floor care treatments using appropriate equipment like floor buffers
Assist with heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injury
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workspaces by performing regular custodial activities and ensuring proper storage of cleaning supplies

Requirements

Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures
Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting
Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely according to chemical handling safety procedures
Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices
Strong attention to detail in cleaning routines and sanitation standards
Knowledge of safety protocol adherence related to facilities maintenance and industrial cleaning environments
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
Customer service mindset with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
