Duties

Prepare a variety of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, tarts, and other confections with precision and artistry
Decorate cakes and desserts using advanced cake decorating techniques to achieve appealing visual presentations
Follow standardized recipes meticulously to ensure consistency and quality across all pastry items
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, pastry bags, and other baking tools safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols
Assist in food production for catering events or high-volume service periods while adhering to recipe specifications
Package finished products securely for delivery or display, ensuring freshness and presentation standards are met

Skills

Extensive experience in pastry preparation, baking, and cake decorating within a food industry setting
Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
Skilled in operating kitchen equipment necessary for baking and food production processes
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various pastry techniques including <PERSON> preparation (e.g., doughs, creams)
Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production environments while maintaining attention to detail
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and adjusting recipes as needed
Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests
Experience in catering or restaurant settings is highly desirable for managing diverse demands with professionalism
