Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and compassionate Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a personal injury caseload from intake through settlement or trial.

Responsibilities

Obtain, organize, review, and summarize medical records
Request and track medical bills, liens, and other damages documentation
Draft complaints and assist with filing litigation documents
Draft, propound, and respond to written discovery
Prepare settlement demand packages
Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and gather information
Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel
Coordinate case progression and maintain litigation deadlines
Negotiate and obtain reductions of medical bills and liens
Prepare settlement disbursements and draft closing statements
Maintain organized electronic and physical case files
Assist attorneys with case preparation for mediation, settlement conferences, and trial as needed

Qualifications

5 years of prior plaintiff personal injury litigation experience required
Knowledge of Florida civil litigation procedures and deadlines
Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and settlement demands
Familiarity with medical records, billing, liens, and personal injury damages
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
