General Manager – Sales & Operations

Boutique Fitness & Wellness Studio | Roanoke–Trophy Club Area, TX

Are you a sales-driven leader who wants to build something—not simply manage it?

A growing boutique fitness and wellness business in the Roanoke–Trophy Club area is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead sales, team development, community engagement, and day-to-day studio operations.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, competitive, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of results. This is not a position for someone who wants to sit behind a desk and manage a schedule. Our General Manager is expected to be visible, engaged, selling, coaching, networking, developing the team, and continually looking for opportunities to grow the business.

For the right individual, this position also offers the opportunity to grow with the organization as we explore future locations and expansion opportunities.

What You’ll DoDrive Sales & Membership Growth

Take ownership of membership sales goals and overall studio growth.
Personally sell memberships and lead the sales team by example.
Develop and execute strategies for lead generation, prospect follow-up, referrals, retention, and new member acquisition.
Track sales activity, conversion rates, lead sources, and key performance indicators.
Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve sales performance.
Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and ensure the team maintains a strong sales pipeline.
Regularly communicate sales performance, opportunities, and action plans to ownership.

Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team

Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop studio employees.
Create a culture of accountability, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong customer service.
Establish clear sales expectations and coach employees to improve individual and team performance.
Conduct ongoing sales training, role-playing, and performance coaching.
Manage staff scheduling and ensure appropriate studio coverage.
Address performance issues promptly and professionally.
Lead from the front and be willing to step into any area of the business when needed.

Build Community Relationships

Develop relationships with local businesses, organizations, residential communities, and other community partners.
Identify and create opportunities for partnerships, referral relationships, corporate wellness initiatives, and local promotions.
Plan and execute in-studio and community events designed to generate leads and increase brand awareness.
Represent the business professionally at networking events and community activities.
Continually look for creative ways to introduce new people to the studio.

Marketing & Brand Awareness

Work with ownership and staff to execute local marketing initiatives.
Utilize social media to increase engagement, showcase the studio community, promote events, and generate interest.
Help create and execute promotions, referral campaigns, outreach initiatives, and special events.
Understand that marketing isn’t simply posting on social media—it’s creating relationships and opportunities that ultimately drive traffic and sales.

Manage Studio Operations

Oversee the daily operation, appearance, organization, and overall member experience of the studio.
Manage scheduling, payroll preparation, membership administration, billing/collections processes, and other operational responsibilities.
Utilize CRM, point-of-sale, email, text, scheduling, and other business software.
Ensure operational procedures and company standards are consistently followed.
Identify problems, take initiative, and bring solutions to ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:

Sales Leadership Membership Sales Business Development Fitness/Wellness Boutique Fitness Hospitality Retail Management Community Marketing Outside Sales Service-Based Business Management

Management experience is strongly preferred, but we are also interested in exceptional sales professionals who are ready to take the next step into leadership.

A college degree is not required. Demonstrated sales ability, leadership, initiative, professionalism, and a history of producing results are more important to us than a specific degree.

Schedule

This is a full-time leadership position, approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility required based on the needs of the business.

The General Manager should expect to be present during key business hours and available for occasional evenings, weekends, community events, staff training, and promotional activities.

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus and/or commission opportunities.
