Corporate Attorney
Asiatico & Associates, PLLC

Plano, TX

Summary

Our practice focuses on legal representation of nonprofit, tax-exempt entities. Staff attorneys provide counsel to our clients on a variety of legal issues, including corporate formation and governance, state and federal tax-exemption, corporate transactions, contracts, intellectual property, and employment law. We offer a collegial atmosphere, competitive salary and benefits, and an understanding that you have a life outside of work.

Responsibilities

Communicate with and take direction from partners and senior staff attorneys regarding client matters and tasks.
Communicate with clients as necessary to obtain information and provide legal advice.
Draft and review corporate legal documents, such as contracts, corporate formation and governance documents, policies, and reports.
Negotiate transactions on behalf of clients.
Prepare applications for federal and state tax exemption.
Communicate with governmental authorities on behalf of clients.
Conduct legal research and analysis as necessary to complete tasks and advise clients.
Work effectively with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants in ensuring excellent work product and client service.

Education and Licensing

Undergraduate and law degrees from accredited schools.
Current member in good standing of State Bar of Texas.
Minimum of 2 years practice experience.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with partners, senior staff attorneys, support staff, clients, government authorities, and others.
Ability to clearly articulate legal concepts and solutions and effectively convey ideas, verbally and in writing.
Strong prioritization and time management skills and ability to efficiently manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.
Initiative, self-motivation, and ability to exercise sound, independent judgment and work without close supervision.
Ability to use applicable research tools effectively and efficiently to find relevant legal authority.

Other Qualifications

Integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, and the ability to maintain strict client confidentiality.
Able to work during non-business days and hours when necessary to meet client needs.
Willing to travel when required.
