Location: Lake Dallas, Texas
Schedule: Full-time, in-office M-F 8am-5pm
Reports to: Head of Ecommerce
About the Role
BED|STÜ is looking for a hands-on Paid Media Strategist to manage and improve our paid advertising program across Meta, Google, Pinterest, Nordstrom Media Network, and future paid channels as they become strategically relevant.
This role owns day-to-day campaign execution, reporting, creative testing direction, budget recommendations, and ongoing optimization. It requires someone who can operate directly inside the ad platforms while also thinking commercially about customer acquisition, traffic quality, product performance, landing-page fit, and premium brand positioning.
The right person is equal parts operator, analyst, and strategist. You should be comfortable building campaigns, reading performance data, forming hypotheses, briefing creative needs, testing ideas, and explaining not just what happened — but why it may have happened and what we should try next.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in Lake Dallas, Texas.
About BED|STÜ
BED|STÜ is a premium leather footwear, handbag, and accessories brand known for handcrafted character, vegetable-tanned leather, and a genuine, imperfect approach to design. We are not a mass-market discount brand, and we are not trying to be luxury for luxury’s sake. We make high-quality leather goods with real craftsmanship, distinct personality, and long-term value.
Our ecommerce business is in a focused growth phase. We are building a more disciplined digital commerce engine rooted in profitable revenue, stronger customer acquisition, smarter reporting, premium positioning, and better cross-functional execution.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage paid media campaigns across Meta, Google, Pinterest, Nordstrom Media Network, and future paid channels.
- Bring Meta campaign management in-house from our current vendor and eventually fully own the channel internally.
- Own paid social, paid search, shopping campaigns, Performance Max, retargeting, and full-funnel paid media execution.
- Audit existing account structure, tracking, attribution, creative performance, budget allocation, and reporting.
- Build, launch, monitor, and optimize campaigns directly inside ad platforms.
- Own weekly paid media reporting with clear insights, concerns, opportunities, and recommended next steps.
- Provide monthly strategy updates covering channel performance, budget recommendations, testing priorities, creative learnings, and risks.
- Recommend budget shifts based on business performance, customer quality, channel signal, and inventory reality.
- Partner with the Creative team to brief ad needs, write CTAs, analyze creative performance, and provide useful feedback.
- Partner with Ecommerce/Web on product feed quality, landing-page performance, PDP/collection-page opportunities, and post-click behavior.
- Partner with Merchandising to align ad support with launches, hero products, seasonal priorities, inventory depth, and products that should or should not receive paid support.
- Help define and improve paid media KPIs, including MER, blended ROAS, CAC, new customer CAC, full-price revenue, new vs returning customer mix, and product-level performance.
- Build a practical test-and-learn system for campaigns, creative, audiences, landing pages, and budget allocation.
Qualifications
- 4–7 years of hands-on paid media experience, ideally in ecommerce, fashion, footwear, accessories, apparel, beauty, home, or premium consumer goods.
- Bachelor’s degree in ecommerce, marketing communications, consumer experience, merchandising, digital retailing, or related field
- Strong working knowledge of Meta Ads, Google Ads, Google Shopping, Performance Max, paid search, retargeting, and paid social campaign structure.
- Experience managing paid media for a DTC ecommerce brand, preferably on Shopify.
- Ability to manage campaigns directly inside the platforms.
- Strong understanding of campaign objectives, funnel stages, audience quality, attribution limits, creative performance, and budget pacing.
- Ability to evaluate performance beyond platform ROAS using blended business metrics.
- Comfort working with metrics such as MER, CAC, new customer CAC, AOV, conversion rate, new vs returning customer mix, discount rate, return rate, and gross-margin-aware performance.
- Experience briefing creative teams and translating performance learnings into actionable creative direction.
- Ability to diagnose whether performance issues are driven by the ad account, creative, landing page, offer, product, inventory, tracking, or customer quality.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain performance clearly to ecommerce, creative, and merchandising partners.
- A test-and-learn mindset. You should be comfortable saying, “Here is what I think is happening, here is the evidence, and here is what I want to test next.”
- Strong judgment around premium brand positioning. You should know how to drive performance without making the brand look cheap, gimmicky, or overly promotional.
Brand and Performance Philosophy
We care about performance, but not at the expense of brand integrity.
This role requires someone who understands that paid media can either build long-term brand value or slowly erode it. We are not looking for someone whose default answer is bigger discounts, fake urgency, aggressive promo language, or low-quality performance hacks.
Our ads should help create demand, educate customers, showcase product value, support launches, convert qualified traffic, and reinforce what makes BED|STÜ distinct.
You should be comfortable working within clear brand guardrails:
- No fake scarcity.
- No cheap-looking discount tactics.
- No misleading claims.
- No overhyped urgency.
- No off-brand trend-chasing.
- No pretending to be luxury.
- No “offer-first” strategy as the default.
- No shortcuts that damage customer trust.
The right candidate will see brand discipline as a performance advantage, not a limitation.
Nice to Have
- Experience bringing paid media in-house from an agency or vendor.
- Experience with Google Merchant Center, product feeds, Shopping campaigns, and Performance Max.
- Experience with Pinterest Ads or retail media networks.
- Familiarity with GA4, Shopify analytics, Klaviyo-adjacent audience strategy, or ecommerce reporting dashboards.
