Full Job Description

Purchasing Clerk

Reports to: Production Control Manager

Overview

This position is responsible for purchasing all raw materials, components, tooling, and supplies for production and general business requirements. This is a starting position with room for advancement.

Responsibilities

· Evaluate, qualify and meet with existing and new suppliers

· Coordinate outside services (paint, plate, etc.)

· Evaluate production schedule and expedite as necessary to ensure material is available when needed.

· Source material required for new products

· Negotiate pricing and assist estimating to develop competitive bids

· Coordinate supplier returns and quality issues.

· Support other departments with any purchasing related items

Qualifications

· Strong organizational skills

· Accurate and detail oriented

· Communication and interpersonal skills

· 0 to 4 years work experience in Purchasing or related career

· Preferred - Experience in metal procurement

· Preferred – Degree or training in business or related discipline

Compensation & Benefits

· Salaried position $18.00-$20.00/hour depending on experience

· 40 Hours of PTO year 1, 80 hours of PTO year 2

· 8 Paid Holidays Annually

· Company contribution of $550/month for family or $450/month for a single for health care coverage

· 401K Match – 100% Match on first 3%, 50% on next 2% (eligible after 6 months of service)
