PART-TIME / FULL-TIME LEGAL SECRETARY/RECEPTIONIST

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable administrative professional with a passion for their job and supporting the office’s mission while working in a fast-paced environment.

Darweesh, Kelly & Von Dohlen, PLLC is seeking a Legal Secretary/Receptionist to join our office in Greece, New York. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced legal professionals in a collaborative office that values client service with professional growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide high-level of administrative support to attorneys and a real estate paralegal by preparing, revising and proofreading a wide range of real estate and estate documents, including:

Deeds and transfer documents; Affidavits; Agreements; closing statements; estate petitions for filing with the Surrogate’s Court; organize and maintain accurate files and documentation; ensure timely completion of tasks; collaborate closely with attorneys and paralegals and other administrative staff as a back-up support for both real estate and the estate team as needed.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Prior experience in a law firm environment;

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;

Proficiency in common office software;

Ability to exercise sound judgment while maintaining confidentiality;

Great time management skills in a deadline-driven setting;

Must be a reliable and self-motivated;

Proactive team player;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Familiarity with real estate transactions or willingness to learn;

Familiarity with estate administration or willingness to learn;

Willing to learn other areas of practice as a back up to other areas of practice.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
