Accounting Supervisor

About Us

RSM Company is a family-owned manufacturing and distribution company seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing while serving as a key member of the accounting team.

We're looking for someone who enjoys improving processes, partnering with operations, and growing into a broader leadership role.

Responsibilities

Supervise the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing teams.
Perform month-end close, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Review AP, AR, billing, and cash application activities for accuracy.
Perform inventory reconciliations between the ERP system and general ledger.
Analyze inventory, production, and cost variances and partner with Operations to resolve issues.
Assist with inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
Review freight-in, landed costs, and inventory-related journal entries.
Support annual audits and strengthen accounting processes and internal controls.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
5-8 years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
Experience supervising, mentoring, or training accounting staff.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred

Experience with inventory accounting, inventory reconciliations, and cost accounting.
Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or transportation environment.
ERP system experience.

Pay: $86,345.95 - $92,007.50 per year
