Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient service, scheduling appointments, and managing the front desk operations of our medical office. Responsibilities: - Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience - Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar - Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner - Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments - Maintain patient records and update necessary information in the electronic medical records system (eClinicalWorks) - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents - Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations - Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality Requirements: - Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist is preferred - Proficient in using computer systems, including electronic medical records (EMR) systems - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Familiarity with office equipment such as phone systems, printers, and scanners - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism - High school diploma or equivalent qualification Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions are also compensated.
