We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to develop and maintain the documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, work instructions, guidance documents, and operator preventive maintenance documentation. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator who collaborates cross functionally with assembly operators, shop floor leads, production supervisors, industrial engineers, manufacturing engineers, design engineers and quality assurance teams.

What You Will Do:
Develop and maintain technical process documentation in a manner that provides production personnel with the ability to build high-quality products efficiently and effectively including but not limited to procedures, work instructions, guidance documents and operator preventive maintenance documentation.
Support adherence to site Change Control Board process.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate technical accuracy and completeness.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to standardize documentation practices.
Maintain consistency in format, terminology, and document structure.
Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks.
Qualifications You Must Have:
HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Aerospace or defense industry manufacturing experience
Experience with digital photo editing.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles.
Experience with manufacturing drawings, technical specifications, SAP, Solumina, and basic production flow.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 43,400 USD - 82,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
