Position: Accounts Payable Clerk II

Location: Rogers, AR

Salary/Pay Rate: $45,000

Type: Direct Hire (on-site)

Archon Resources is currently looking for a Accounts Payable Clerk II to join one of our best clients located in Rogers, AR. This is a full-time opportunity with full benefits including medical, vision, dental, PTO, & 401k.

Summary:

The Accounts Payable Clerk II is responsible for accurately processing invoices, maintaining financial records, and ensuring timely payment of invoices and other obligations. This position provides support across accounts payable operations, payment processing, customer service, and administrative logistics.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting established deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Accurately enter and process invoices for payment.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate accounting records.
Ensure invoices are processed accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
Prepare, process, and approve checks for corporate, operational, and utility-related payments.
Process and submit utility payments in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Review and process check requests as needed.
Serve as a backup resource for check-writing and payment processing functions.
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and other business partners.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
Coordinate shipping and logistics activities, including UPS shipments.
Maintain organized records related to mail and shipping activities.
Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned by management.
Follow established policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Maintain regular and dependable attendance to ensure responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.
Support a professional, collaborative, and ethical work environment.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required.
One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Ability to read and interpret documents, including policies, procedures, instructions, and operational guidelines.
Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders in person and by telephone.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and other routine financial calculations.
Ability to apply common sense and sound judgment when following detailed written and verbal instructions.
Ability to identify and resolve routine problems involving multiple variables within established procedures and guidelines.
Basic computer proficiency required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize accounting, payment processing, and company-specific software systems.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Up to 10% travel may be required.
Travel is expected to be minimal and may include local ground travel and occasional air travel.
Overnight travel may be required on occasion.
