Full Job Description

We are looking for candidates interested in collaborating with a team of positive, dedicated, and high-performing educators to inspire students and challenge them to achieve more than they thought possible!

Multiple positions are available ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

DESCRIPTION: Responsible for performing a variety of duties mainly for the school staff. The secretary is generally the first person with which a student, parent or community member interacts. It is essential that this person represent the school in a professional and family friendly manner. This position will be on campus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Clerical – Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures. Attention to detail is extremely important.

Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes a positive attitude and service orientation, looking for ways to help people that come into the building office.

Communication – The ability to talk to others to convey information effectively; communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience; ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents; and the ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships – Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.

Flexibility – The ability to adapt to changing situations and be flexible.

Reports to:
Office Manager Supervisor and School Leader

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prioritize answering telephones as soon as possible.
Check daily to determine which teachers have requested substitutes. Greet substitutes to ensure they sign in and have the appropriate keys and information when they arrive for work.
Run daily attendance spreadsheets and ensure that it is accurate. Check in and out all students coming to school late or leaving early.
Maintain communication with staff and parents through.
Send notices home if needed.
Ensure payroll documentation is accurate and signed by staff and distributed and collect time logs.
Assist with registration, enrollment and scheduling.
Manage outgoing and incoming mail for the building.
Type correspondence as necessary and if directed.
Manage supply orders.
Register new and returning students ensuring that all paperwork is current and accurate.
Know emergency procedures and implement when necessary.
Input schedules and assist director for registration.
Perform other appropriate duties as requested by the supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working area will be in a regular office setting. Provide assistance to the staff, parents, and community members. Assist with temperature checks for students during COVID.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.23 per hour
