Full Job Description

Position Title: Senior Accountant

Wage: Based on Experience

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with advanced Excel skills? We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team and play a key role in supporting business operations, improving financial processes, and driving accurate reporting. This position works directly with the CFO and provides oversight of the Accounts Payable function. This is a full-time, direct hire position that is fully onsite at their Janesville, WI location.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

Manage bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, cash journal entries, and weekly payment processing to ensure accurate cash management
Complete month-end account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with US GAAP
Develop, analyze, and report financial data using advanced Microsoft Excel tools, including complex pivot tables
Oversee intercompany sales tracking, broker commission calculations, and quarterly royalty payment reconciliations
Supervise the Accounts Payable function and support efficient accounting operations
Partner with cross-functional departments to identify process improvements and implement operational efficiencies
Assist with year-end inventory activities, audit requests, and other accounting projects as assigned

Requirements for Senior Accountant:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or an Associate degree with equivalent experience
3+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong understanding of US GAAP
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including extensive with pivot tables
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and quantitative abilities
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work independently
