Position Summary

The Front of House Manager is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, efficient service, and a positive team environment. This role leads, coaches, and develops front-of-house staff while managing daily operations, labor,, guest satisfaction, and compliance with company policies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and support all Front of House staff members
Ensure guests receive exceptional service by maintaining high hospitality standards
Resolve high-level guest concerns promptly and professionally
Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth, efficient service during all shifts
Interview and train new Front of House employees
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities
Enforce company policies, procedures, and service standards consistently and fairly
Oversee compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations
Ensure restaurant cleanliness, organization, and presentation meet company standards
Support marketing events, community partnerships, fundraisers, and promotional initiatives as needed
Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture that emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Perform other duties as assigned to support restaurant operations

Qualifications

Minimum three years of full-service restaurant management
Experience with large, high-volume restaurant with busy dinners and weekend shifts with multiple servers and support staff
Experience with recruitment, training, scheduling, and employee management
Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including:
Labor management
Guest service and conflict resolution
Cash handling and POS systems
Food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to analyze sales, labor, and operational metrics to improve efficiency
High school diploma or GED required; College coursework in Hospitality, Business, or Management is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in an AYCE, Korean BBQ, Japanese, or high-volume dining restaurant
Experience managing teams of 20+ employees
Strong understanding of California labor laws, scheduling, meal/rest breaks, and OT
