Full Job Description

California Sleep Solutions is seeking a detail oriented, results driven Patient Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess confidence, initiative and a sense of urgency in order to make sure department goals are met – bilingual is a plus!

Please note this position will be based in our Roseville, CA office.

Job Duties:

Contact patients to review bills and collect balances, as well as to create payment schedules
Determine patients' remaining balance in order to determine patient deductibles
Send out monthly billing statements
Work with collection agencies to follow up on past due accounts
Collaborate with the billing team to ensure timely reimbursement
Prepare invoices on a weekly and monthly basis, following up as required
Managing the collection efforts/calls for accounts receivable portfolio
Performing account/payment reconciliations
Researches all information needed to complete billing process
Works with other staff to follow-up on accounts until zero balance or turned over for collection
Posting for patient collections and process patient payments

Skill & Experience Requirements:

1+ years of Medical Billing and or patient Collections experience
Understanding of billing software and electronic medical records
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability work as part of a team to ensure deadlines are met department wide
Proficient computer skills (Excel, word, etc.)
Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT, and Medical Terminology
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions
