Full Job Description

Job Description: This position is for a high-level Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate must have strong GAAP accounting knowledge with an emphasis on building amortization schedules, accruals, and subledger reconciliations. Must have a high acumen for managing accounting procedures & reading financial statements, is highly organized, and has the ability to explain financial records to clients from all levels of finance & accounting experiences. This individual needs to be hands on and unafraid to jump into production should the need arise to get the department back on track.

Roles & Responsibilities:

* Manages a team of staff accountants and must understand what each individual is tasked to do to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines

* Reconciliation, accruals, month-end adjustments, and variance analysis for Client's financials

* Ability to determine when additional labor resources are needed in each corresponding department (AP, AR, GL)

* Create new processes to improve efficiency

* Special projects and other accounting functions as required

Skill Requirements:

* At minimum, a bachelors in Accounting, and 8-10 years of Accounting Experience

* 3-5 years of Supervisor experience managing a team of at least 5 staff members

* Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong work ethic

* Must be able to explain complex accounting & financial questions to clients

* Highly Proficient Follow Up & Organization Skills

* Must be able to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision

* Above average Excel Skills (and we do mean above average)

* Can easily grasp new Accounting Softwares

* Microsoft Office Suite products – e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook

Pay: DOE (base salary with annual merit increase & annual merit bonus; first review after 60 days with benefits eligibility at that time)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
