Full Job Description

Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Mobile Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality laboratory specimen collection services directly to patients in various community settings. This position offers the opportunity to provide compassionate patient care while ensuring accurate and efficient blood sampling and specimen processing. Your expertise will help facilitate timely diagnoses and treatment, making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will be the friendly face of our laboratory services, bringing professionalism and enthusiasm to every interaction.

Duties

Travel to patient locations such as homes, retirement communities, and similar locations to perform blood draws and specimen collection with precision and care
Obtain and verify accurate patient information, explain procedures clearly, and ensure patient comfort throughout the process
Process specimens promptly for transportation to the laboratory, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and storage
Maintain detailed records of each collection, including patient details, collection times, and any special instructions

Skills

Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection methods including venipuncture and blood sampling
Proven experience in clinical laboratory settings with a focus on phlebotomy and patient service excellence
Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology concepts, and aseptic techniques
Ability to perform venipuncture confidently while maintaining patient care and comfort at all times
Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures clearly and providing compassionate patient care

Compensation

Hourly pay
Mileage
Stability/Performance Bonus - paid out 6 months from hire date if established standards are met
