Title Clerk Position

Automotive Dealer accounting experience preferred.

Automotive Group has a proud history dating back to the early 1970s. Today, the company operates multiple top-tier brands and dealerships across the region, driven by a steadfast commitment to customer care, quality service, and community involvement.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Automotive Title Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage automotive title processing, ensure compliance with state transportation regulations, and facilitate smooth vehicle transactions. Your expertise will help maintain our dealership’s reputation for efficiency and exceptional customer service.

Duties

Process automotive titles accurately and efficiently in accordance with state transportation laws and dealership policies
Verify all necessary documentation for vehicle sales, trade-ins, and transfers
Communicate effectively with clients, lenders, and government agencies to resolve title issues promptly
Maintain organized records of all title transactions and related paperwork
Assist with inventory management by updating vehicle records and ensuring proper documentation
Support sales teams by providing timely updates on title statuses and paperwork completion
Utilize dealership management software such as CDK and Microsoft Office tools to streamline processes
Maintain accounting schedules for inventory, parts & service, and car deals
Posting car deals for multiple stores
Month-end close outs and deadlines

Requirements

Proven experience in automotive title processing or dealership administrative roles
Strong knowledge of state transportation regulations and automotive sales paperwork procedures
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
Effective communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination
Ability to handle data entry accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines
Familiarity with inventory control, retail math, cashiering, and accounting practices within an automotive setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and dealership management systems such as CDK
Outstanding phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive client relationships
