Job Overview

The Pharmacist position at MediVera plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, safety, and quality of compounded medications — with a strong emphasis on both sterile and non-sterile preparations, which make up the majority of our work. This is not retail pharmacy — there are no immunizations or walk-in testing. Instead, you’ll focus on meaningful patient care, provider collaboration, and supporting MediVera’s mission of helping one patient at a time live their best life in a state-of-the-art, PCAB-accredited compounding environment.

As part of a family-owned pharmacy, you’ll have the opportunity to practice pharmacy the way it was meant to be — building relationships, solving problems, and tailoring medications to patient needs. Job Responsibilities:

Verify compounded prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and compliance with USP 795/797/800, state, and federal regulations — taking pride in ensuring precision and patient safety.
Review, evaluate, and dispense prescriptions with a focus on MediVera’s in-house compounded products, including both sterile and non-sterile formulations.
Provide exceptional service to patients and providers through consultations and clear, respectful communication, demonstrating respect for all.
Collaborate closely with technicians, pharmacists, and other team members to maintain efficient workflows and deliver on MediVera’s promise of positive team spirit.
Support quality assurance initiatives, audits, and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance with PCAB standards and state/federal requirements, working your hardest to uphold excellence.
Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment by following established processes and taking pride in doing things the right way every time.
Stay current with compounding practices, regulatory changes, and therapeutic trends — embracing a growth mindset and seeking opportunities to continuously improve.
Document and maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policy, demonstrating diligence and accountability.
Act as a resource for providers and staff by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering guidance on medication therapy, reinforcing respect and trust across the team.
Participate in ongoing training and mentorship to help develop technicians and promote a culture of growth and positive teamwork within the pharmacy.

Attributes & Skills·

Active Michigan Pharmacy License (without restriction or probation).
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
California pharmacists license preferred but not required.
Must be willing to obtain and maintain pharmacist licensure in additional states as required by business growth and operational needs.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Compounding experience preferred.
Knowledge of PK software and LifeFile is a plus.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication to patient-centered care.
Knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 preferred.
