Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced National / Regional Sales Director to lead the U.S. commercial growth of a leading European manufacturer of premium architectural building products. This executive leadership role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategy, expanding market share, building high-performing teams, and strengthening relationships with distributors, architects, designers, contractors, developers, and strategic accounts across the United States.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive experience selling premium architectural building products through distribution, specification, and project-based sales channels. This position combines strategic leadership with active customer engagement and offers the opportunity to establish and grow the company's U.S. market presence.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute national and regional sales strategies to drive sustainable revenue growth.
Build, lead, coach, and develop Regional Sales Managers, Territory Managers, and independent sales representatives.
Establish and strengthen relationships with distributors, dealers, architects, designers, builders, developers, contractors, and key national accounts.
Expand specification activity within the A&D community and commercial construction market.
Identify new distribution partners and strategic growth opportunities across North America.
Lead contract negotiations and manage major commercial accounts.
Develop pricing strategies, sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans.
Monitor KPIs, margins, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline performance.
Partner with manufacturing, operations, customer service, marketing, and executive leadership to ensure exceptional customer experience.
Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing sales professionals.
Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, and executive presentations.
Travel throughout the United States as required.

Qualifications

10+ years of sales leadership experience in architectural building products, commercial construction products, or related manufacturing industries.
Proven success leading multi-state, regional, or national sales organizations.
Experience selling through distributors, dealers, specification professionals, and commercial construction channels.
Strong relationships within the architecture, design, contractor, developer, and distribution communities.
Demonstrated success developing new markets and driving profitable growth.
Experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategy, and profitability analysis.
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain.
Outstanding leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Ability to travel up to 70%.
