Full Job Description

*CPA preferred, but not required*

Must have: Public accounting experience

We are looking for a full time Senior Accountant to help support our Accounting team. In this role you will be reporting to the Assistant Controller, and will be responsible for creating, implementing, and supporting accounting functions that supports ICEE’s growing business. We are looking for a highly detail-oriented person who knows how to leverage technology to help scale organizational functions at all levels. In addition, we are looking for an expert at multi-tasking, prioritization, planning, and delegation. You should be ready to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment, and have an exciting, diverse set of responsibilities!

What you will do:

Responsible for all daily accounting operations including customer rebates, prepaid accounts, deferred revenue, and indirect taxes
Analyzes customer contracts and is responsible for the fully rebate accounting cycle of associated rebate programs
Assists in monthly closing, including processing journal entries as required and reconciling various accounts.
Analyze and interpret monthly P&L variances and how they tie into the “big picture”
Support the development and documentation of strong internal controls, ensuring quality controls over accounting and reporting and in compliance with policies
Identify and implement opportunities to promote streamlined processes, to increase efficiencies and enhance internal controls.
Support team members and departments on budgeting, analysis, and ad hoc projects as needed

Who you are:

Must have bachelor’s degree in accounting, with minimum three years of progressive experience in related area of accounting.
JD Edwards system knowledge is preferred
You have experience with process improvement and internal control development and implementation
You can call yourself a “tech-savvy” accounting professional, especially in MS Excel
You are an exceptional problem solver that seeks solutions independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
You are an expert at multi-tasking, prioritization, planning, and delegation. You thrive in a dynamic environment. Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
Background with responsibilities in a multi-branch or multi-entity environment is a plus

LOCATION:

Mount Laurel, NJ - Fully onsite

BENEFITS:

The role includes base salary, eligibility to receive discretionary bonus after one-year of employment potential, Health/Dental/Vision Insurance, life Insurance, Paid Time-off, 401(K), and Stock Purchase Plan.
