Full Job Description

Revenue Cycle Liaison for Russellville Hospital

Position Summary

The Revenue Cycle Liaison serves as the primary operational bridge between [Hospital] on-site revenue cycle personnel and its external revenue cycle vendor partners. This position is responsible for managing inbound requests from revenue cycle vendors including billing service providers, clearinghouse contacts, practice management system vendors, and other contracted revenue cycle partners and ensuring that all actions required on a claim or patient account to facilitate timely reimbursement are completed accurately and routed to the appropriate internal resource without delay. This role requires a high degree of organizational agility, strong cross-functional communication skills, and a thorough working knowledge of the end-to-end revenue cycle to effectively triage vendor requests, coordinate internal action, and keep all stakeholders informed.

Key Job Functions

The following functions represent the essential day-to-day responsibilities of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as required by their assigned direct supervisor.

· Serves as the designated inbound contact point for all revenue cycle vendor requests requiring internal action; receives, reviews, and triages all inbound requests upon receipt

· Maintains a vendor request tracking log documenting all open, in-progress, and completed requests including vendor name, request type, date received, assigned internal resource, required action, due date, and resolution status

· Routes vendor request to the appropriate internal resources within the hospital with clear action documentation and expected response timeframe

· Monitors open vendor requests daily to ensure all assigned actions are progressing; escalates to their direct supervisor any requests not actioned within expected timelines

· Coordinates specific claim or account-level actions required by vendors to facilitate timely reimbursement, including submission of missing information, corrected claim coordination, documentation uploads, and authorization detail retrieval

· Confirms completion of all vendor-requested account actions and communicates resolution status back to the requesting vendor within the same business day of completion

· Coordinates production, accuracy review, and distribution of operational revenue cycle reports as directed by their direct supervisor; maintains a report distribution schedule and archive

· Serves as the internal point of contact for vendor-initiated report requests; fulfills approved requests with their direct supervisor’s authorization and documents all report distributions

Education

Associate’s degree or higher in Healthcare Administration, Business, Health Information Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience will be considered.

Experience

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations with working knowledge of billing, AR management, cash posting, and/or revenue cycle vendor coordination.
