Full Job Description

Job Summary

Mark Johnson and Sons Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling are seeking a skilled and proficient Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all building codes and regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse sites, utilize your mechanical knowledge, and contribute to high-quality building projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional craftsmanship in this trade.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances on construction sites
Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble plumbing components
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols
Conduct routine home inspections of plumbing systems during service appointments to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues using technical knowledge of plumbing systems and related mechanical components
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation in CRM system

Qualifications

Valid journeyman plumber certification preferred
Hands-on experience with pipe threading, welding, soldering, and assembly of plumbing components
Familiarity with HVAC systems and basic mechanical knowledge is preferred
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and field service machinery efficiently
Strong math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work in accordance with schematics
Knowledge of remodeling, maintenance tasks, handyman skills, and general construction practices is a plus
Valid driver’s license and clean MVR
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity in various environmental conditions
