The Open Heart Surgery RN Manager is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced cardiovascular perioperative leader to join a nationally respected hospital in Northern California. This role is ideal for an RN leader with at least two years of Cardiovascular/Open Heart Operating Room leadership experience who is passionate about clinical excellence, mentoring teams, and advancing one of the region's premier heart surgery programs.

The Open Heart Surgery RN Manager will join a highly recognized nonprofit medical center known for its advanced cardiac care and commitment to outstanding patient outcomes. The hospital is home to a Comprehensive Cardiac Center with nationally recognized expertise in complex cardiovascular procedures, including heart transplantation, and has earned the highest "High Performing" recognition for multiple cardiac services. Supported by cutting-edge technology and a culture focused on quality, innovation, and compassionate care, this organization continues to set the standard for cardiovascular excellence.

The Open Heart Surgery RN Manager will report to senior perioperative nursing leadership while providing day-to-day direction and support for the dedicated cardiovascular operating room team. This leader will partner closely with cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, surgical technologists, and multidisciplinary clinical leaders to ensure seamless patient care across the surgical continuum. Collaboration, communication, and visible leadership are key to success in this role.

The Open Heart Surgery RN Manager will oversee four specialized operating rooms dedicated exclusively to heart surgery, supporting a high-acuity surgical environment where precision and teamwork are essential. The department cares for patients undergoing complex cardiovascular procedures and is known for its experienced clinical staff, collaborative surgeons, and commitment to exceptional outcomes. Every day brings meaningful challenges, making this an exciting opportunity for an accomplished cardiovascular nursing leader.

The Open Heart Surgery RN Manager will lead clinical practice by mentoring perioperative staff, promoting evidence-based care, strengthening clinical competencies, and supporting ongoing education and professional development. This leader will champion quality improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. On the operational side, the Open Heart Surgery RN Manager will oversee staffing, scheduling, departmental operations, physician collaboration, and resource management to maintain an efficient, patient-focused surgical service.
