Full Job Description

Gayle Manufacturing Company (GMC) is a Structural Steel Fabrication Company with a long history of performance. GMC has been in business for well over 50 years, and currently has an opening for an Estimator in our Sacramento (Natomas) office; offering an excellent career opportunity for a responsible, motivated individual.

Candidate will be trained to perform estimating duties per Gayle Manufacturing Co. standards. Duties will include review of project design documents, material takeoffs & estimates, coordination with contractors, and preparation of proposals.

GMC is searching for a candidate that is responsible, hard-working, and eager to learn; and are willing to provide the necessary training to an individual with these attributes.

The below qualifications may be beneficial for this position (but are not required):

· A college degree in either Construction Management, Drafting, or Engineering;

· And / or applicable experience in estimating, detailing, or construction.

Eagerness, work ethic, and an ability to learn are rewarded with ongoing training opportunities and advancement.

Candidate will join a team which has been responsible for the fabrication and erection of over 1,000 buildings, including complex commercial office buildings, high rises, major hospitals, university buildings, airports, arenas, and more; all over the Western US.

Payrate starts at $38 per hour, however, relevant experience / qualifications may be taken into consideration with regards to starting wage.

Employees are evaluated on a regular basis and have the potential to greatly increase responsibilities and earnings.GMC offers an outstanding benefits package, including employer-paid health insurance premiums, employer-funded retirement plans, PTO, and paid holidays.

Standard working hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
