Full Job Description

Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk. Successful candidate will ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely processing of payables in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Review and verify invoices and check requests
Sort, code and match invoices
Set invoices up for payment
Enter and upload invoices into system
Prepare and perform daily check runs
Reconcile accounts payable transactions
Monitor accounts to ensure payments have been properly applied to the account
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Maintain vendor files
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries

Qualifications & Requirements:

2+ years of accounts payable experience
Ability to handle fast paced, high volume invoicing
Ability to learn new processes quickly and efficiently
Must be detail oriented, organized, and have the ability to identify and solve problems
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Must be a strong team player
Prefer accounting degree
