Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer

Pay: Up to $45.00 per hour
Work Location: In person

Our team provides diagnostic services in nursing homes and family medicine clinics, with an emphasis on professionalism, collaboration, and patient-centered care.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer with a strong background in cardiac, vascular, and general sonography. This position provides mobile diagnostic ultrasound services primarily in nursing homes and family medicine clinics.

The ideal candidate will have experience performing echocardiograms and vascular studies, as well as general ultrasound examinations including abdominal, pelvic, thyroid, breast, and other small-parts studies. We are willing to support continued development in areas where additional training may be needed; however, preference will be given to candidates who already have experience across these modalities.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound examinations accurately and independently.
Conduct general sonography studies, including abdominal, pelvic, thyroid, breast, and other small-parts examinations.
Provide ultrasound services in nursing home and family medicine clinic settings.
Prepare and position patients appropriately while explaining procedures and maintaining patient comfort.
Obtain high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with established protocols.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of examinations and findings.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, radiology leadership, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain ultrasound equipment and follow all applicable safety, infection-control, and quality standards.
Demonstrate compassion and professionalism when working with elderly, frail, and medically complex patients.
Adapt to a mobile clinical environment and varying patient-care settings.

Qualifications

Previous experience performing cardiac and vascular ultrasound examinations strongly preferred.
Experience with general sonography, including abdominal, pelvic, thyroid, breast, and small-parts imaging.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic sonography techniques.
Ability to obtain diagnostic-quality images independently.
Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
Comfortable working with geriatric and medically complex patient populations.
Ability to work effectively in nursing homes, family medicine clinics, and other mobile healthcare environments.
Relevant sonography credentials such as RDMS, RDCS, or RVT/RVS preferred.
