Our client, a well-established company in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead and oversee all accounting and financial operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the organization's financial processes while supporting strategic business objectives. The Controller will provide leadership to the accounting team, drive process improvements, manage financial reporting and budgeting activities, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Job Description
The Controller will oversee the daily accounting functions of the organization and provide leadership to the accounting team. Key responsibilities include:
- Direct and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, and general accounting functions.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Oversee billing, cash receipts, collections activities, and related accounting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Review purchase orders to verify pricing accuracy and alignment with business cost structures.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Monitor and reconcile company-owned and customer-owned inventory while maintaining strong inventory controls.
- Manage daily cash flow and provide regular reporting on the company's cash position.
- Lead month-end close processes and ensure timely completion of all closing activities.
- Reconcile bank accounts, corporate credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain supporting documentation for balance sheet accounts and ensure financial records are complete and accurate.
- Conduct monthly analyses of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Analyze revenue, costs, products, programs, and operational processes to support informed business decisions.
- Track fixed assets and calculate depreciation in accordance with established accounting practices.
- Partner with leadership to develop and manage annual budgets.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and financial controls.
- Lead accounting-related projects and company initiatives.
- Troubleshoot financial and operational bottlenecks and make informed decisions to support business objectives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by executive leadership.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree (AAS) or Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Accounting.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience preparing financial statements and conducting financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
- Proven ability to follow through on projects and assignments while maintaining quality and timeliness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, or product decoration environment.
- Prior experience leading or supervising accounting staff.
- Experience managing inventory accounting and inventory controls.
- Experience overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and depreciation tracking.
- Demonstrated success implementing accounting process improvements and internal controls.
