Full and Part Time Positions for Certified Medical Assistants

Select Urgent Care in Milaca, MN is hiring part-time CMA's, CNA's, EMT's, and EMR's for weekends. We are seeking motivated cheerful employees to promote great care for our patients and foster a culture where everyone on our team looks forward to working with each other and caring for patients. You will have a unique opportunity to provide and shape health care delivery with a patient centered approach in a smaller community. Interviewing now for part time positions. Job Description:

When performing nursing support functions

Escorts patients to examination room and obtains vitals and documents in EMR
Prepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment of patients
Performs room turn over in patient rooms between cases and at the end of day
Assists in arranging referrals/prior authorizations as necessary
Assists with patient education
Performs other duties as assigned

When performing Lab and/or X-ray functions

Maintains stocked supplies and inventory
Sterilizes instruments, exam rooms and equipment
Performs testing procedures as required
Prepares procedure room/area and instructs patients
Troubleshoots and maintains equipment
Completes daily QA/QC procedures and provides maintenance/adjustments to equipment
Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Education/Work Experience/License/Certifications

Graduation from Medical Assisting program or School of Practical Nursing
Graduate of clinical laboratory program and/or ability to display and complete job competencies
Current LPN Licensure or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Assistant (RMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
Current CPR certification

Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities

Ability to multi-task
Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work autonomously and as a team
Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above

Preferred Qualifications

EMR experience
X-Ray Operator License (grandfathered prior to 2007) or completion of AART limited scope Operator examination per Minnesota Department of Health
Previous lab experience

Ability to independently manage all above responsibilities while also having the ability to learn from and coordinate with our experienced Emergency Physician staff. Must be hard working, friendly, and patient centered with efficiency in direct patient care and documentation in line with current policies and procedures.

All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations governing the legal scope of medical practice.

Adherence to standards of business conduct and compliance.
