Marketing & Customer Success Lead

CO-Ver is a ConTech startup solving one of the largest costs that impact owners and developers: unverified change orders. By combining AI with human oversight, CO-Ver verifies that every change order our clients receive is legitimate, documented, and fairly priced. One focused mission. We are based in Jacksonville, FL and growing.

About this role

This is your opportunity to join an ambitious, funded startup at an early stage of growth. Our team is small, sharp, and passionate about what we're building, and we're looking for people who take ownership and thrive in fast-moving environments.

This is a hybrid marketing and customer success role. The candidate will balance marketing responsibilities that include social media, website content, campaigns, and the lead flow they generate. The customer success component will require answering the phone, watching how accounts use our platform, and helping them get more out of it. You might be the first voice a prospect hears on Monday, the person shipping a LinkedIn campaign on Wednesday, and the one walking a client through a feature on Friday.

We are seeking impact players who are driven, curious, and excited to help build a company as an early member of the team.

What you will own

Marketing and demand generation

Manage and grow our social media presence, starting with LinkedIn but going wherever our people are. You will run the calendar, write the posts, and engage in the comments

Keep our website current: page copy, case studies, blog and resource posts, and the basic SEO hygiene that comes with it (training provided)

Support demand generation campaigns end to end: email sequences, landing pages, event follow-up, and tracking what actually worked

Own lead flow in HubSpot: capture, route, follow up, and keep the pipeline clean (training provided)

Convert curious inbound inquiries into booked demos and warm handoffs to our team

Represent CO-Ver at sporting and other events, plus industry trade shows

Make outreach calls when the moment calls for it, professionally and never aggressively

Customer success

Answer inbound calls and web inquiries from owners, developers, general contractors, and stakeholders, and know how to talk to all of them without sounding like a script

Be a first point of contact for existing clients: questions, small troubleshooting, and day-to-day requests

Monitor platform usage and flag the accounts that are quiet, stuck, or ramping fast, so we can act early instead of late

Help clients get more out of CO-Ver through onboarding walkthroughs, refresher sessions, and the practical tips that make the platform stick

Collect what you hear from customers and bring it back to the product and operations team

What we are looking for

1 to 3 years of relevant experience in customer service, marketing, sales support, or a combination that tells a convincing story. We are hiring for instincts and work ethic, not a long résumé

Natural warmth on the phone. People feel heard when they talk to you

Real social media skills: creating and engaging, not just scrolling

Comfortable writing short web copy, a post, or a follow-up email, and willing to have it edited

Organized enough to hold marketing work and customer conversations in the same week, and honest enough to raise a hand when something is slipping

Curious about how a product works, so you can teach someone else to use it

Comfortable walking into a boardroom without missing a beat

Logical, self-directed, and genuinely detail-oriented, not the resume version of it

Industry experience is a plus, but not required. We will teach you what a change order is. You bring the instincts.

How you will be supported

This is a lot of ground for someone early in their career, and we are not going to hand you a login and wish you luck.

A structured ramp: you will take on marketing and customer responsibilities in stages, not all at once

Direct access to leadership, including regular one-on-ones and same-day answers when you are stuck

Training on HubSpot, our platform, and the construction and change order basics you will need

Templates, playbooks, and messaging you can start from instead of inventing

Review on anything customer-facing until you are ready to run it yourself
