Job Overview

Your expertise in pastry preparation, cake decorating, and food handling will help us craft delightful treats that keep our customers coming back for more. We’re looking for energetic individuals who thrive in high-volume production environments and are dedicated to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while contributing to a lively bakery atmosphere.

Duties

Prepare a variety of baked goods including pastries, cakes, and bread following established recipes and standards
Decorate cakes and pastries with precision, creativity, and attention to detail to meet customer specifications
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, slicers, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
Package baked items carefully for sale or catering orders while maintaining product freshness and presentation
Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols throughout shifts
Assist in food preparation tasks including measuring ingredients, assembling products, and ensuring quality control
Support high-volume production needs by managing multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods

Requirements

Proven experience in food production, baking, pastry preparation, or a related culinary field with a focus on baked goods
Strong cake decorating skills and proficiency in food handling safety practices
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with pastry preparation techniques
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory
Exceptional customer service skills to engage with clients positively when needed
Prior experience in high-volume bakery or catering environments is preferred
Knowledge of food safety management systems and recipe adherence to ensure consistent quality
