Full Job Description

NurseSpring is hiring a compassionate, dependable, and energetic pediatric home health LPN or RN to care for one of our amazing patients.

She thrives with someone who is patient, encouraging and genuinely committed to helping to build her confidence and independence

The ideal nurse is:

Dependable, punctual, and a strong communicator
Active, energetic, and able to keep up with a busy school day
Comfortable working in a special needs school environment and collaborating with teachers, therapists, and school staff
An advocate for our patient's independence, always encouraging her to do as much as she can safely on her own
Calm, confident, and attentive to detail
Willing to learn her individual routines and celebrate her accomplishments, big and small
Comfortable around two friendly small dogs in the home
Enjoys being outdoors and is happy to participate in walks, playground time, outdoor games, and other activities that keep her engaged and active

Responsibilities include:

Providing skilled nursing care and medication administration
G-tube and seizure protocol experience
Monitoring her health and ensuring her safety throughout the day
Assisting with medical needs, including tube feedings and hydration, as directed in the care plan
Accompanying her to her special needs school and supporting her participation in classroom activities and therapies
Promoting independence in daily routines rather than doing tasks for her whenever possible
Encouraging social interaction, participation, movement, and engagement throughout the school day
Participating in fun indoor and outdoor activities that support her physical, social, and emotional development
Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating with family, school staff, and healthcare providers
