For more than 50 years, Tri-Valley Transit has connected Vermont communities through safe, reliable, and accessible transportation. Following our recent acquisition of Green Mountain Transit's rural service area, TVT has expanded into Washington County, significantly growing both our operations and the number of employees who support our mission.

To support this continued growth, we've created a new Finance and HR Administrative Assistant position. This role reflects our commitment to investing in our people and building the administrative infrastructure needed to support our expanding workforce. What You'll Do

As our Finance and Administrative Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting the Finance and Administrative Department by helping ensure payroll, accounts payable, employee benefits, records management, and executive support functions operate smoothly and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Finance/HR Director
Assist with payroll processing and serve as backup to the primary Payroll Administrator
Answer employee questions regarding timesheets and payroll, referring complex issues as appropriate
Process vendor invoices and assist with accounts payable activities
Maintain confidential payroll, finance, and employee records
Assist employees with benefit documentation and required forms
Coordinate executive calendars, meetings, and appointments
Organize and maintain electronic filing systems
Prepare, combine, and distribute PDF document packages and organizational communications
Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties that support the organization's daily operations

What You Bring

High school diploma or equivalent
Two (2)+ years of administrative support experience preferred
Experience with payroll, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting functions is strongly preferred
Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy
A collaborative attitude and desire to support a mission-driven organization
