Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by assisting in meal preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall culinary process.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients for cooking by washing, chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables and meats.
Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the highest quality of food handling.
Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
Collaborate with other kitchen lead to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning duties at the end of shifts.

Requirements

Previous experience in a culinary or food preparation role is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the food industry.
